Apartment Marinheiro is a perfect apartment for a nice central
base in the old fishing town of Olhao.
The 2 bedroom apartment is situated within a block of apartments right in the heart of old Olhao.
Apartment Marinheiro, our wonderful 2 bedroom apartment is accessed via a secure intercom system from the small side street road the apartment block is nestled in. There is the option of stairs or a small lift to the apartment which is situated at the 4th floor level. A solid wooden door opens out straight into the 2 bedroom apartment space.
Our wonderful 2 bedroom apartment has been renovated to bring it up to and beyond the standard expected for our holiday property portfolio. The main front door opens up in to a now light and spacious living area. A beautifully styled sofa and armchair surround a set of coffee tables and against the wall is a stylish television unit with a matching cupboard unit styled in a distressed wood beach theme. A large flat screen television sits on the tv unit and offers a selection of European channels. The apartment has excellent WIFI too.
The living room offers up to date comfortable living with clean tiled floors, cream walls decorated with beach and sea theme pictures. An archway from the living room leads to the bathroom and large french sliding windows open to the a huge terrace.
The comfort of modern air conditioning has been supplied giving a lovely cool apartment on those hot summer days but also offering a little warmth on the cooler winter nights. This makes our superb 2 bedroom Apartment Marinheiro and perfect base for holiday all year round
To the left of the open plan living space is a large kitchen and dining area. Totally refurbished in 2018 the walls have been tiled in very traditional Portuguese wall tiles and a whole brand new kitchen has been fitted with very smart modern blue units in keeping with a sea colour theme but with a very modern twist. A smart white table and chairs are placed in the kitchen area, giving a great place to eat all the wonderful fresh produce Olhao Daily Market has to offer. The kitchen is very well equipped with a large fridge freezer, oven hob and extractor, washing machine, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and toaster. In the plentiful drawers you will find an excellent selection of cooking utensils including plenty of pots and pans, spoons spatulas, fish slices and much more. The 2 bedroom apartment kitchen is stocked well with cups, plates, mugs, glasses crockery and cutlery for your use.
To the rear of the open plan kitchen and diner is another set of French sliding windows offering access to a small terrace that in tune can give access to the Master bedroom. This terrace overlooks the central part of the apartment block. The French windows are instrumental in adding that extra slice of natural slight to the apartment too.
Bedrooms and Bathroom
Both bedrooms are accessed from the living space.
The first bedroom is lightly decorated with light tiled
flooring, cream walls and two single beds with a large sandy
coloured fabric headboard with fabulous scatter cushions and lovely
wall designs to keep with that seaside theme. Each side of the beds
are neat white and light wood bedside units with matching lamps and
also in the bedroom. An air conditioning unit has been installed
inthe bedroom, fabulous to keep cool in the summer and the option
to add heat on those sometimes cooler winter nights here in the
Sliding French windows lead out on to a nice little terrace that overlooks the centre of the apartment complex and also give access to the kitchen/diner.
Bedroom two offers a large double bed and fabric head board in a teal blue theme again with matching scatter cushions and a beautiful seaside effect. Bedroom 2 also offers plenty of light and style along with air conditioning to keep cool in those lovely warm balmy summer nights but also warm and cosy for a winter trip. A window looks out onto the front large terrace situated at the front of the 2 bedroom apartment.
This 2 bedroom apartment offers one bathroom. It is situated via an archway from the main living space. The bathroom is a good spacious room with a full size bath and over head shower, basin set into a vanity unit with plenty of space to store cosmetics and toiletries below. A large mirror hangs over the basin and vanity unit. Then the bathroom also offers a toilet and bidet.
To the rear of the 2 bedroom apartment is a terrace that runs the length of the apartment and overlooks the centre of the apartment complex. This terrace would be great for a place to sit and enjoy breakfast watching the lovely Algarve sunrises.
To the front of the apartment and accessed via sliding French windows from the open plan living space is a large private terrace offering a fantastic outside space. This terrace really makes the apartment stand above many others in that it is an amazing size. It offers exceptional views over the old and magnificent fishing town of Olhao with all its picturesque cubist rooftops. Situated to get the best from the evening sun it makes for a perfect place to watch the summer sun wane with a glass of something nice before dinner. This terrace has the amazing added extra of a proper and traditional Portuguese bbq. So just a heavenly place to sit, relax and cook some bbq food on the best style bbq there is! The terrace offers and outside table and chairs too.
Apartment Marinheiro (Fisherman in Portguese) has been renovated and styled to totally fit with the seafaring way of life that Olhao is so famous for. Situated right in the heart of the town everything you could need is very easily accessible. This makes a great spot if you don't want to hire a car as both the train and bus station are in easy reach of the apartments by meandering along a couple of the small streets.
Positioned just a very short walk from the seafront the 2 bedroom apartment works well for walks along the promenade, gardens and marina offering a chance to enjoy to eclectic mix of sailing boats and old fishing boats. From here and just outside the Real Marina Hotel you can catch the ferries or flotilla of private taxis to the islands of Olhao where you will simply find the best beaches around. From here you can also catch some amazing boat trips to dee dolphins or enjoy the stunning sea-life the Ria Formosa has to offer.

Booking your Holiday
To secure your holiday home with us, we ask for a deposit payment of 20% of the holiday price within 24 hours of the booking. As soon as that payment is made we will send an e mail asking for your full details and travel details.
30 days before your holiday starts we will send you a reminder e mail asking for the final payment for your holiday home.
Premier Algarve Holidays LDA operates a Breakages insurance scheme for any accidental damages and breakages during your stay with us.
The non-refundable Damage Protection Fee of €10 per guest protects you from being charged for accidental property damage that may occur during your stay with us. Cover is up to the value of €500. All we ask is that you treat our homes with respect and should any accidental damage occur you inform us immediately by contacting us at email@example.com.

Tab 1 Euro bank details, this is for you to be able to make a bank transfer. This is not automated. Please use the bank details given within your bank account to make the transfer and send a confirmation slip giving the booking reference
Tab 2 Within our website we have a secure payment method for card payments. Please ues this tab if you wish to pay by card.

We set the arrival time at your holiday home to be any time after 1600. This is to allow us time to prepare the holiday home for you. We are extremely flexible in that we will try and prepare the holiday home to coincide with your flight arrival time. But we can not guarantee this will happen. We are also happy to allow you leave baggage at the holiday home whilst the property is being prepared allowing you to get the most out of your holiday.
We ask that you carefully read the holiday home manual we will send you before the start of your holiday, as this contains all the contact information of the Manager who will be meeting you and looking after you during your holiday.
Our Manager will be expecting a telephone call from you on arrival day. The Manager will only attend the property after that phone call in readiness to meet you. We do not have a reception and each guest is met personally. If we have more than one client at once arriving we will let you know and ask that maybe you give us a little time. Maybe pop for a coffee and we can call you when we are ready to meet you. Our Manager will like to spend some time with you explaining how appliances work in the holiday home and let you know about the local area and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
We set the departure time at 1000. We ask for your departure details or plans once you leave us. This way we can schedule our holiday home preparation for the next guest just like we did for you. If we can offer a later stay during the winter months we will try and accommodate you. In the Summer months due to the high volume of guests we have to strictly adhere to the 1000 departure time at the latest.
Our "All important" Welcome Book
Before the start of your holiday we will send you our online Guest Welcome Book which is packed with everything you need to know about your holiday Home and the local area.
The book gives you all of the meeting arrangements, directions and how to get the keys.
We have tried to give you a real insight and help you to plan your holiday before you even arrive.
Our online Guest book is compatible with smart phones and tablets meaning you can take the guest book with you where ever you go to maximise your holiday experience.
During your holiday if you find places not in the book you would like to recommend to future guests please do let us know and we would love to add them to our book. The idea is to offer a great book that guests find useful.
Hampers and Mid Stay Cleans
Our properties are cleaned to an excellent standard and all items of any previous guest are removed. This includes all cooking items or hygiene products. This is to comply with Rental Licence and Covid rules for Portugal. As a self catering property we value your privacy and as such do not offer any cleaning service during your stay unless you request the extra paid service with us.
To provide the best service for our guests we do provide hand soap and a toilet roll per bathroom. The tap water in all of our properties is fit for human consumption.
We offer a selection of hampers at an extra fee and can be seen and chosen during or after the booking process.
Children and Babies
We can hire a variety of items for your holiday home. Please book any items your require during the booking process.
We have an arrangement with a superb local Bike Hire Company and can arrange for bicycles to be delivered to your holiday home either before your holiday starts or during you holiday. We can also arrange for the bikes to be collected. Please click on the link below choose your bikes and accessories, let us know via e mail and we will get it all booked for you.
We can take the stress out of car hire for you by booking in advance for you. We have chosen a small local Company to supply our hire cars. They will be at the Airport to meet you personally rather than you having to find a shuttle bus to the larger hire car Companies or waiting in huge queues with a horrible and impersonal service.
We can also arrange hire of scooters for you. They can be delivered at your holiday home and collects after your holiday is over.

We use a fantastic local Company, Sunline Transfers. The Company has built a super reliable and excellent Airport transfer service and we are proud to be connected with them.
Please ask for a quote and we will arrange the transfers via our Company login to their site. This means there will be no waiting around at the Airport as the driver will be in Arrivals waiting for you. There will be no trying the explain the location of your holiday home as the driver will already know where to go. The driver will even call our Managers in advance for you so they can be at the holiday home ready to meet you.

A very nice flat, stylish and spacious fir two with good quality furniture . Air conditioning coped well with 40 degree heat! No welcome pack so pick up supplies of water if like us you arrive very late. The second balcony is actually an enclosed utility area. Location good, just beyond the old city but pleasantly local. Lots of mini super markets close by. Local restaurant just round the corner does excellent take away fish meals. We enjoyed the sunsets from the balcony - the storks return to their nests around that time, fantastic to watch.

"We loved the apartment. Everything was new and spotlessly clean. The terrace was fantastic for sun in the afternoon and sitting out at night. We were fascinated by the Storks on the roof top opposite. The apartment is only a 15-20 minutes taxi ride from the airport. Best to ask the host to arrange a big eye pick up and drop off. Some of the taxi drivers couldn't understand where we wanted to go but the one arranged by the host was brilliant and no more expensive. We walked everywhere. The centre of town and the water front is only 10mins away. There are lots of restaurants and bars to walk to and a supermarket. The host was very easy to contact and sorted our everything we asked very quickly."

Olhao is a perfect destination to stay in if you want some serious down time and relaxation away from the more bustling Faro. We found it very easy to navigate our way to Faro and Olhao itself is quaint, full of lovely dining options and peaceful in its own right. The accomodation itself is a perfect base and also ideally located near the station, supermarkets and allows you to explore Olhao's intricate side streets.

"Die Unterkunft entspricht genau den Bildern und liegt inmitten von Olhão. Mir persönlich hat das Design sehr gut gefallen. Es ist angelehnt an das Thema Fischerdorf, wofür Olhão ja bekannt ist. Zum Hafen sind es zu Fuß nur wenige Minuten und auf der Straße haben wir auch immer einen Parkplatz gefunden. Es gibt in jedem Raum eine Klimaanlage und auch die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit Töpfen, Tellern und alles was man so braucht. Nur Gewürze, Waschmittel und Ähnliches gab es nicht. Der Gastgeber hat immer sehr schnell auf meine Fragen geantwortet und uns jederzeit weiter geholfen. Die Wohnung war sauber. Darüberhinaus ist Olhão wirklich ein hübsches Fleckchen und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge."
The flat is bright and with an open space. It has a huge terrace, where is also grill.
The area is quiet, so during the evening it is a pleasure to take a rest outside.
In the kitchen is almost everything, what you need to cook and bake.
It has around 1000 TV chanells in every language of the world. The Internet is very fast. There is place to sleep for 5 persons (one on the sofa :) ).
Its just 6 minutes walk to marina. On the way is a very good restaurant with portugal food: Domino (Rua Joao de Deus 34). Enjoy and have fun! :)
Die Wohnung ist hell und offen gestaltet. Sie hat eine riesige Terrasse, wo auch ein Grill ist. Die Gegend ist ruhig und abends ist es ein Vergnügen, sich draußen zu erholen. In der Küche ist fast alles, was man zum Kochen und Backen braucht. Es gibt ca. 1000 TV-Kanäle in allen Sprachen der Welt. Das Internet ist sehr schnell. Es gibt Platz zum Schlafen für fünf Personen (eine auf dem Sofa :) ). Es ist nur 6 Minuten zu Fuß zum Hafen. Auf dem Weg ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit portugiesischem Essen: Domino (Rua Joao de Deus 34). Genieß es und hab Spaß! :)
